Events are the heart of your calendar. Here's how to create them quickly and keep them accurate.

Want the fastest path?
Try Quick Add to create events in plain language (fully on-device).

Create an event

Desktop

  1. On the calendar grid, click and drag to select a time range.
  2. Fill in the event details, then save.

Touch devices

  1. Long-press on an empty spot on the calendar grid.
  2. Fill in the event details, then save.

Edit an event

Click an existing event to open it, then edit and save.

Set start and end times

In the event form, you can either pick a time from the list or type one directly.

  • The picker displays times in AM/PM format.
  • You can type times like "9:30 AM", "6pm", or "13:30", then press Enter or click away to apply.
  • When the picker opens, you can start typing right away.
  • Use Arrow keys to move through the list, then Enter to select.
  • Press Escape to cancel what you're typing.

Move or resize an event

  • Drag an event to move it to a different day/time.
  • Drag the top/bottom edge of an event to change its duration.
All-day events
When moving an all-day event, keep it all-day. NimbleCal blocks accidental drops that would convert an all-day event into a timed event.
