Welcome to NimbleCal! Let's get you set up in just a few minutes.

Pro tip
Any time you get stuck, press Cmd + K (Mac) or Ctrl + K (Windows/Linux) to search the docs.

1) Open NimbleCal

Go to app.nimblecal.com and sign in.

Next: Sign in and account basics

2) (Optional) Install it like an app

You can install NimbleCal to your home screen or desktop so it opens like a native app.

Next: Install NimbleCal (app)

3) Learn the basics (views and navigation)

Before you add lots of events, it helps to know how to move around.

Next: Calendar views and navigation

4) Check your calendar

NimbleCal starts you with a default calendar (for example, "My Calendar").

  • To rename or edit it: open the calendar ... menu and choose Edit calendar.
  • To create additional calendars (work/personal, projects, etc.): that's a Plus feature.

See: Create and manage calendars

5) Set your timezone and week start

In the app, open Settings, then:

  • Set Timezone so event times display correctly.
  • Set Week starts on (Sunday/Monday/Saturday) to match your preference.

See: Settings and preferences

6) Create your first event

On desktop, click and drag on the calendar grid to select a time range, then create the event.

On touch devices, long-press on an empty spot on the grid to create an event.

Next: Create and edit events

7) Try Quick Add

Quick Add lets you create events in plain language (for example: "Dentist tomorrow 9am").

It runs fully on-device: your text stays local and is not sent to any server.

Next: Quick Add (natural language)

8) Learn the best shortcuts

If you like speed, this is the fun part.

Next: Keyboard shortcuts

If something feels broken

If you're stuck on a loading screen or actions are not saving, it is often a browser/extension issue.
