Most sign-in issues are quick to fix.
I can't complete the captcha verification during sign-up
If the sign-up screen says verification is temporarily unavailable, wait a minute and try again.
If it keeps failing:
- Refresh the page and retry from the sign-up form
- Make sure JavaScript is enabled
- Try a different or up-to-date browser if you're using an older version or an in-app browser
- Contact support if sign-up still isn't working
My email confirmation link opened in the wrong browser
If the confirmation link opens in an in-app browser (common on mobile), do not finish it there unless that is the browser you want to keep using with NimbleCal.
Use Copy confirmation link, then paste it into Safari, Chrome, or the browser profile where you want to sign in. After that, choose Confirm in this browser.
If confirmation still fails after copying, request a new confirmation email. Some confirmation links are tied to the browser session that originally requested them, so they may not work in a different browser profile. Requesting a fresh confirmation email from the browser you want to use avoids that mismatch.
I forgot my password
Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen. For privacy, NimbleCal always shows a confirmation message, even if the email address is not on file.
Because NimbleCal uses end-to-end encryption, password resets have extra safety steps.
If the reset link opens in an in-app browser (common on mobile), copy the link and open it in the browser or browser profile where you want to finish the reset. If you've used NimbleCal before, choose one where NimbleCal is already unlocked. The reset page includes a "Copy reset link" button.
Quick unlock only helps on a device where you already set it up. It will not recover your encrypted data on a brand-new device. If you no longer have any device that can still unlock NimbleCal, the fallback may be to start fresh.

I did not receive the reset email
Try:
- Waiting a couple minutes (some email providers delay automated emails)
- Checking spam/junk
- Searching your inbox for "NimbleCal"
I can sign in, but my data looks locked
You might see an "Unlock your encrypted data" prompt after sign-in. This is normal.
